Scary stuff, he really got launched, and it looks like he landed on his face and got knocked out. Hopefully he didn’t do too much brain damage, those are the scariest injuries.

Yikes... Incredible that he’s okay.
Speaking to Spanish TV channel Movistar, Ducati sporting director Paolo Ciabatti revealed that Pirro was awake and alert, but couldn’t recall the crash.
“I spoke a few minutes ago with [Ducati team manager] Davide Tardozzi, who is in the medical centre,” Ciabatti said. “Apparently the situation is less serious than it looked before.
“Michele recognises people and can talk. He doesn’t remember anything.
“He can move his legs and arms, but he could have a problem with the shoulder, so they are going to check it in a hospital in Florence with an MRI to make sure nothing is broken.”

Sure looks like it. They did confirm he was conscious after though. I guess that’s as good as you can hope for after that

Holy shit. Stuff like this happens and it really makes me wonder how people can argue against helmets and full gear. Glad he survived.

No kidding. It sounds like he is doing okay. Regained is consciousness quickly, can move all arms and legs. He can’t remember the accident, but if that’s the worst, he made it out okay. Makes me want one of the airbag suits
